All options considered for the Britannia Bridge, Anglesey, North Wales

Anglesey Council has stated that a report due in November of this year will consider all viable options to resolve the issue of traffic management on the Britannia Bridge.

The bridge serves as the main link between Anglesey and the mainland and in times of heavy traffic the current single lane system can cause long tailbacks on both sides.

Options being considered for the report include expanding the bridge to four lanes with a plan to demolish part of the existing bridge and rebuild a new four land crossing however there is opposition to anything that removes such an identifiable landmark.
