Wylfa Power Station could stay open to 2012, Anglesey, North Wales
In what could be a massive boost to Anglesey's economy the proposed shutdown date for Wylfa Nuclear Power station could be extended by two years to 2012.
Anglesey County Council has been campaigning hard for a number of years to extend the lifespan of the power station as it is a major employer for the island.
Additionally a number of other local companies, such as Anglesey Aluminium, depend entirely on the power station for power and its closure could result in the firm having to close or relocate.
